December 1 World AIDS Day

On 1 December, various organizations around the world commemorate the topic of AIDS with various solidarity projects to show their compassion to people who have been infected with the disease or have lost loved ones to it. Around 25,000 people are living with HIV and AIDS in Switzerland today. Around two people are still infected every day. In the last 12 months, 592 people have been infected with HIV. Over 33 million people worldwide are living with HIV/Aids. Since 2009, 1.8 million people have died of Aids. You young people of today have your future to some extent in your own hands. So I ask you not to be careless.

  1. Protect yourselves and stand up for your sexual health.
  2. Don't close your eyes to the bad things that are happening in the world, but try to make it better.
  3. Don't discriminate against anyone who is not as lucky as you, but integrate them.
  4. Enjoy your life, love and live to the full and stay true to yourself.

We wish you a peaceful World Aids Day
