Despite freezing temperatures, 12,500 fans made the pilgrimage to Innsbruck on February 4 to pay tribute to the premier class of snowboarding. Cheered on by an expert and enthusiastic audience, the riders performed increasingly spectacular and difficult tricks. In the final round, Peetu Piiroinen won by a wafer-thin margin over Seppe Smits (91.13) and Niklas Mattson (89.53) with a backside 1260 mute grab (91.70 points).
