This weekend, bikers from all over the world will be flying through the Thun ice rink, over scrapped cars and even over an airplane. Among those taking part are last year's winner Thomas Genon and his challenger Nicholi Rogatkin, who is taking part in Swatch Rocket Air for the first time this year.Bike park as scrapyardFor this year's Swatch Rocket Air, the Thun ice rink will be transformed into a scrapyard for once. In keeping with the junkyard theme, elements from the scrapyard will be integrated into the course. The small airplane integrated into the course will certainly be an eye-catcher. Course designer Ramon Hunziker is excited: "The riders can jump over the plane or even touch the fuselage with their wheels. I'll leave it up to the drivers' creativity what else happens."In addition to a new theme every year, the course is of course always optimized to offer the drivers and spectators new attractions and challenges. This year, Nicholi Rogatkin will be taking on these challenges for the first time.
