Dirt Offspring Series

The Swiss dirt scene is going crazyThe Swiss dirt jump scene is going crazy. Following the launch of the Dirt Offspring series last year, the Flying Metal Crew is once again organizing the 2015 tour for up-and-coming Swiss dirt jumpers and old hands on the scene. Stops: Thurgau, Zurich and Bernese Oberland. The Swiss dirt jump season got off to a brilliant start with the Swatch Rocket Air and the Dirt Jump Contest at the Bike Days. Both are now silver events on the FMB World Tour and the best riders in the world compete for the podium places. It is difficult for Swiss riders to get a starting place at these contests due to the large international field of riders. This requires video parts and good results from other contests. This is exactly where the Flying Metal Crew comes in with the Dirt Offspring Series. The contests are open to anyone under the age of 20, regardless of riding ability and experience. Many of the participants are riding their first contest here. The format is also fitting, in which all riders can unpack their best tricks for one hour in a jam session, without being limited to a certain number of contest runs. During this qualifying session, a qualified jury will select the best riders, who will have three contest runs in the final to give their all once again and fight for the podium places. In addition to the winner of the day, the "Best Newcomer" under the age of 15 and the "Best Rookie" under the age of 18 will once again be crowned and receive prizes from the tour sponsors.Wildcard for the overall winnerThe rider who collects the most points at the three stops will be crowned the overall winner of the tour and can call themselves Dirt Offspring 2015. The winner will receive a so-called wildcard, a starting place at the Swatch Rocket Air. After the U20 contest, which takes place in the afternoon, thefocus will be on happy get-togethers beyond age limits. Everyone can take part in the so-called Dirt Games and unpack their tricks. Some riders from the Flying Metal Crew, the judges of the contest and the club members of the organizing parks are sure to show off their tricks. The aim of the fun games is to bring together the entire Swiss scene, which otherwise tends to operate locally. Riders who have already gained experience at the big contests are also invited to show off their arsenal of tricks.
