Back to the roots, to the original discipline of snowboarding, was the motto of the GummiLove Banked Slalom on Stoos on March 19, 2016. Although the focus was not on the competition but on the snowboarding family coming together, the participants went head to head in a fantastic race. 91 riders made their way to Stoos, which lies in the heart of Central Switzerland. Among them were many locals, but the event also welcomed participants from all over Switzerland, Germany, Sweden, Canada and Finland. The atmosphere at Klingenstock could not have been better and the boarders and spectators were able to enjoy a unique snowboarding spectacle with wonderful weather, cool drinks and good food. The good cooperation and preparation between Stoos, Shredisfaction Snowpark and the 3sixty Shop Schwyz WE ARE ZRCL paid off, as a top course was created that had a great flow to offer despite the technical challenges. Daniel "Gummi" Rietmann, who realized this event on his home mountain, was pleased to receive numerous positive feedbacks and says himself "for the first GummiLove Banked Slalom, it was a very successful event and exceeded my expectations. A super team, who gave their all with a passion for snowboarding, contributed significantly to the success of the event. I'm already looking forward to next year." Kilian Wiget from Schwyz was delighted with an outstanding overall victory. Kilian was closely followed by second-placed Nicholas Wolken and third-placed Daniel "Gummi" Rietmann in his Men over 30 category. Roger Schuler from Wädenswil won the Open Men category and Nadja Purtschert from Ibach won the Open Woman category. In the Juniors category, 13-year-old Julian Furrer from Ebertswil was delighted with his victory. At the afterparty in Gaswerk Seewen, the celebrations continued and the dance floor shook to the beats of the Goldfinger Brothers and the Dj Set Hibou.
