Skateboard PumpKing Challenge at the Grenchen pump track

The second event of the Sk8board PumpKing Challenge in Grenchen was a complete success and we draw a positive balance. Over 50 skaters took part. Skateboard enthusiasts from all over the country made the pilgrimage to Grenchen. From amateurs to professionals, the skateboard scene was well represented. But that's not all, the Grenchen rock band Basement Saints also inspired people beyond the borders of rollerboarding and created a great atmosphere.

Thomas Schumann, successfully defended his title. The Swiss skate great said after the event: "Riding the pump track is nothing new for me, as I ride it a lot on my BMX. However, it was my first experience with the skateboard and I think the idea behind it is a great thing." Other visitors included former snowboard world champion Fabian Rohrer. He won the masters title. "The ambience and the people were great, "it was like tomorrow, I'll be back next year", it's a really good thing" The coming together of the different generations and the different styles contributed to a special and friendly atmosphere. All skate styles were represented. Whether street skaters or longboarders, the board was not the decisive factor today, but the board feeling. The pump tracks, which were originally intended for bikers and BMXers, are particularly well suited to this. Whether beginner or pro, street, downhill or slalom skater, everyone enjoys the feeling of racing through the pump track on their board.
