GummiLove Banked Slalom 2018 on the Stoos

Over 100 participants ventured to the start of our spectacular snowboard event and celebrated this on Stoos in a family atmosphere. Despite difficult conditions on the course, poor visibility and cold weather, many snowboarders dared to take the wild ride through the steep turns. There was a neck-and-neck race in both the women's and men's categories. Caroline Weibel from Buchrein and former Swiss champion in boardercross won the women's over 15 category thanks to an outstanding run, while local snowboard instructor from Stoos Till Bächler won the men's 18-30 category for the second time. Snowboard pro Fredi Kalbermatten from Valais won the men's over 30 category, snowboard legend Michi Albin from the Engadin won the men's over 40 category, the Swiss pump track skateboarding champion and nine-year-old Felix Meier won the rookie category, Lara Beck was the fastest in the girls' under 14 category with an outstanding time and Max Grünwald, who had traveled all the way from Germany for the third time, won the juniors' over 13 category.
GummiLove was able to organize the successful event with Beni Plüss and the people from Shredisfaction Snowpark Stoos, who contributed significantly to the success. The special spirit of snowboarding was present and a family atmosphere quickly developed between the snowboarders from the different regions. There was excitement, talk about the course and the riding techniques and the snowboarding between different generations blossomed again.
