The GummiLove Rookies arrived at the Hotel Arena in Flims at 10.00 a.m. on Saturday morning in bright sunshine.
After a brief introduction and a theoretical crash course on sexuality, privacy, tasks, the limits of rookies and the code of honor, we set off for Laax. We took the gondola up to the "Crap Sogn Gion" mountain with a fantastic view over the entire mountain region. Over lunch at the "Galaaxy", our rookies got to know each other better and everyone shared a few anecdotes from their lives. With their hunger satisfied, there was a bit of parkour action to loosen things up. Some proved their talent on the slackline, while our rookie Silybilly showed off his skills with backflips, jumps and climbing. Our videographer Bart took the opportunity to take some cool shots of everyone and capture the joyful atmosphere.
After everyone had let off some steam, it was time to get down to business. Corinne held a workshop with them in which various topics were discussed and explored in greater depth. The rookies learned more about sexual rights, what exactly sexual health is and what different genders and sexual orientationsSexual orientation is the type of sexual attraction you feel for another person. Each person has a unique sexual orientation that can change throughout life. For example, you can be bisexual, asexual, homosexual, heterosexual, queer, etc., ... there are. They also learned and practiced how to use a condomAuch Präservativ genannt. Bart was constantly producing new video and image material. There was a cool photo shoot with all the rookies and the 'old iron' on the roof terrace of the Galaaxy. Full physical exertion was required and this was achieved. At 16:00 we took the gondola back down to the valley, where there was some more skateboarding action with Silybilly and Bart continued to feed his memory card with pictures. We were invited to Velosolutions for dinner followed by a closing party.
The performances by up-and-coming rapper Sirius and the band Okto Vulgaris got the party started and the DJ provided a great atmosphere for the rest of the night. The rookies also proved their party skills right away.
On Sunday morning, we had a completely sustainable breakfast at the Crest bakery in Flims to replenish our energy reserves. Freshly fortified, further filming took place at the Hotel Arena Flims with the brothers from Bartvisuals, where they discussed various prejudices about loveLove is a strong feeling of emotional and often physical attraction to another person. Despite somewhat tired eyes from the day before, he made us all look very good in the pictures.
Time flew by and the rookie weekend was slowly coming to an end. It was a very great and successful weekend and we would like to thank our rookies for all their hard work and interest!
