“Just because a man pays for a drink doesn’t mean you have to go home with him”

GummiLove rookie Emi often gets drinks when she goes out. She has often found that men have the wrong expectations of her afterwards. "That can't be right," she says. Rookie Emi doesn't think men should have expectations of women just because they buy them a drink when they go out. Emi explains why this is the case in the video above. You can also find out what sex expert and GummiLove founder Corinne thinks about the situation below.

Sexpert tip

As with many other situations in life, this is about consent. In this situation, the person says yes to being invited for a drink. If the giver clearly has other intentions, the invitation should be more specific and it should be pointed out directly that the drink is not the only thing that is being invited. Even if there is a lot of flirting and everything indicates that the situation could turn into something more, each person always has the right to leave the situation politely and respectfully. The other person must accept this decision. If you don't put pressure on the other person and don't have any expectations when buying them a drink, you're sure to be more successful at flirting.
