30 years in a relationship? I don’t know if I could do it now

The GummiLove rookies were at the Sunrise Skylights Drive-In Openair on July 19. There they handed out Gummis to singles and couples. One couple in particular impressed Rookie Tizi - because the two have been together for over 30 years.

Rookie Tizi handed out condoms and magazines with the GummiLove team at the Sunrise Skylights Drive-In Openair . One couple in particular caught her eye: "They drove in in a super cool vintage car and it looked like they were on a date," says Tizi. The two then happily announced that they were celebrating 30 years together. Tizi and the rookies were super impressed: "30 years together, that's quite something!"

The conversation with the couple got Tizi thinking. She asks herself: "Could I do that too? Or is 30 years with the same person just exhausting?" You can see what she came to in the video above.

The Sexpert tip

"Many people want to have such a long and beautiful relationship. Of course, when you're so young, the thought of spending half your life with just one person can be scary. Unfortunately, there's no single recipe for a long and beautiful relationship. But there are a few pieces of advice that promote happiness: teamwork is key, go through good and bad times together. Don't take each other for granted and spend exclusive couple time together. Don't break the routine and make sure you stay attractive and appealing. Show your love with gestures and tenderness. Of course, trust, acceptance, respect and tolerance are important. You can only achieve all this if you talk to each other a lot, laugh and constantly work on your relationship.*Corinne Rietmann is a sexual health specialist and project manager for education and prevention atGummiLove.
