The band was formed in 1999 with five MCs and two DJs (Renzo “Orange” Hendry, Adrian “Spoon” Candinas, Pius “PDDP” Venzin, Johannes “Jusht” Just and Roman “Flepp” Flepp as MCs as well as DJ Gionson and David “DJ Suit” Suivez), who write their own lyrics. The first concert took place in Dieni in 2001. The band is committed to preserving the Rhaeto-Romanic language in Switzerland. With Analogia, they released the first ever Rhaeto-Romanic rap album in 2004. Liricas Analas’ second album, AnalFaBad, was released in 2006. Their hit Siemis reached the top of the Viva video charts. The accompanying video clip was filmed in the Vals thermal baths.
After AnalFaBad, the band took a creative break, during which various members pursued their solo projects. PDDP left the crew and is now successful after a solo album with the band The Swiss Avengers. Adrian “Spoon” Candinas has not been active as an MC since then, but has remained a producer.
The album Analectrica, which was influenced by current trends in electronic music and impulses from hip-hop, funk and rock, followed on March 6, 2009. The band calls their style “disco rap”. The third album released reached number 13 in the Swiss charts in its first week. The Liricas were nominated for Best Newcomer at the Swiss Music Awards.
In June 2012, they released their fourth studio album Analium, which spans a range of genres from classic hip-hop to electronic music and eighties disco. The album reached number 8 in the Swiss charts.
In July 2021, the band announced the end of their career on social media
