Feelings

Emotional chaos is completely normal during puberty. The body changes and with all the hormones come so many new feelings. The emotional traffic light can help you.

Emotional chaos

Hormones often cause young people to go through a merry-go-round of emotions. From the saddest, worst, stupidest or angriest moment to the funniest, most beautiful, best and wildest high there is. These mood swings often come without reason or warning. When all the feelings of lust or love come into play, the emotional chaos is perfect. Nevertheless, it is an intense, but also very exciting and beautiful time. With many new things you experience in love or sexuality, different feelings can arise. Listen to your inner self, because this will help you learn what you like and what you don't like.

Here is a little help with the traffic light system:

Pay close attention to your traffic lights and listen to your feelings, because your body belongs to you and only you can feel what you like and what you don't like. Importantly, this traffic light of feelings can always change, so this system helps you to experience and explore new things. Try to end a situation or contact as early as possible if your inner traffic light is red. Give yourself a break when the light is orange and enjoy the moment to the full when both lights are green!
