Genitals

This is the medical term for sexual organs. This refers to both the internal and external sexual organs. The external genitalia penis, scrotum and testicles are referred to as male genitalia. The vulva is referred to as the female genitalia. The internal so-called male genitals are the testicles, epididymis, vas deferens, vesicle glands, prostate and Cowper's glands. The internal so-called female genitals are the vagina, clitoris, uterus, fallopian tubes, ovaries, Skene and Bartolin glands. However, not all people who have a penis identify as male. And not all people who have a vulva identify as a woman. There are people who are born with both male and female genitalia, or whose genitalia are not clearly male or female. This is referred to as intersex, or simply inter*.
