Lubricant

A lubricant is a liquid or cream that can be used to make it easier to insert a penis or sex toy into the vagina or anus, for example. Lubricants can be bought at the pharmacy or drugstore and make it easier to insert the penis, especially during anal sex. But be careful: If you are using condoms to protect yourself, you must not use lubricants containing fat, such as massage oils, Vaseline, lotions or creams! This is because they attack the thin latex skin of the condom and make it permeable to some STIs. They can even cause the condom to break. However, there are special lubricants that are "water-soluble" and therefore compatible with the condom. These can usually be found on the same shelf as the condoms in the store.
