Morning after pill

The morning-after pill is an emergency solution in the event of a contraceptive failure. If you have not used contraception during sex, the condom has broken or another mishap has occurred, the morning-after pill prevents an egg from being fertilized. However, it must be taken within a maximum of 72 (NorLevo pill) 120 hours (ellaOne pill) after sex. The earlier you take it, the more reliably you can prevent an unwanted pregnancy. It does not guarantee 100% safety. The morning-after pill is available without a prescription from pharmacies or from a sex education specialist centre near you.
