Vagina

The vagina is an elongated, elastic muscular tube. It is between 7-12 cm long and belongs to the internal genital organs. It connects the vulva with the uterus. Menstrual blood is discharged through the vagina. During sexual intercourse, it serves to accommodate a penis, fingers, dildos etc. and adapts to the size. It is also called the birth canal, as babies are born through it (in a so-called natural birth). It can expand considerably.
