I’m 21 and want a vasectomy. Do I really have to wait?

We read about vasectomy in the St.Galler Tagblatt under "Sex without sperm". This is exactly what I want to have done. It must also be possible in Switzerland. I'm of legal age, have a good job, have a partner (34) and don't want to have children (IUD contraception). We're globetrotters, unfortunately not possible at the moment, and want to enjoy our freedom in every respect. Do I really have to wait until 26? Sterilization in Vorarberg without problems?

In principle, a vasectomy is available to anyone over the age of 18. In practice, however, it is very difficult to find a urologist who will take this definitive step for young people without children of their own. Many fear that you might regret this step later on. As the vasectomy is considered irreversible, you will be infertile for life.

Men also have the option of using temporary, safe and reversible contraception. Find out more about thermal contraception. I have had very good experiences with it so far and can only recommend it!
