“Safety First” The youth protection set

Help us: Together we protect our young people from online violence & sexually transmitted diseases!

GummiLove is launching the "Safety First" project - the youth protection kit. The ambitious goal: to distribute around one million #SafetyFirstSets to one million young people aged 13+ - free of charge! But why? Let's start from the beginning.

Young people who know their rights are better protected!

  • Young people who are victims of sexualized violence online are often full of shame and fear and do not dare to get help. Bans or consequences further intensify these fears.
  • Prevention and education is the most effective strategy for helping young people to protect themselves from sexualized violence, discrimination, harassment and sexually transmitted diseases.
  • Therefore, it is all the more important that young people are properly educated and know their rights, so that they can confidently understand and exercise them.
  • In addition, they will become more aware of their personal responsibility and be better able to assess where and how they have to take responsibility for their actions in social media and on the internet.

Cyber grooming

Sexualized violence against our young people is increasingly shifting to social media and the internet and is taking on frightening proportions!

Sexually transmitted diseases

50% of young women between the ages of 15 and 24 have chlamydiosis.

70-80% of all people become infected with HPV in the course of their lives The number of people in Switzerland who have contracted a sexually transmitted infection is increasing: 168 women and 116 men per 100,000 inhabitants (FOPH 2019)

This is where we want, need and can help - all of us, including you! Because...

Safety First Set for the Swiss youth!

It is the responsibility of us adults to protect our young people! That's why the GummiLove association has been committed to prevention and sexual health education for young people aged 13 and over since 2009.

Now we need your help: to raise awareness and personal responsibility among young people and to inform them about their rights, we have launched the "Safety First" - The Youth Protection Set project.

Our ambitious goal: to distribute around one million #SaftyFirstSets to around one million Swiss young people aged 13+ - free of charge!

What do the Safety First kits contain and how are you helping to distribute them free of charge throughout Switzerland?

A central component of our Safety First Set is our cross-media GummiLove Sexpert magazine (print supplemented by our website gummilove.ch), which informs young people about their rights and provides them with valuable and age-appropriate information on all aspects of sexuality. Sexual self-determination, protection against sexually transmitted diseases or the responsible use of social media - all this and more is addressed and edited in such a way that we can reach young people in their own language. GummiLove does not want to moralize, but rather to raise awareness among young people and strengthen their skills!

What else is included in the Safety First Set worth CHF 8.50:

  • GummiLove Sexpert Magazine (including rubber sex toy set & rubber drum postcard) can be supplemented by visiting gummilove.ch, GummiLove LIVE ED, GummiLove TV and the anonymous Sexpert Chat, online view Magazine, all completely free of charge
  • 2 condoms mix and Ceylor lubricant.

What is our prevention goal? We want to achieve this together with the Safety First Set:

  • Young people in Switzerland know where to find reliable information on the internet that is appropriate for them, and they know where to turn for help in problem situations.
  • Through knowledge transfer, young people acquire the skills to make and stand up for decisions related to their sexual health.
  • Young people learn to stand up for healthy and self-determined sexuality.

making safe love sexy since 2009 - who we are and what we do:

The GummiLove association has been committed to prevention and sexual health education for young people aged 13 and over since 2009.

GummiLove wants to empower young people so that they can experience their sexuality as healthily and competently as possible through self-determination and self-responsibility. GummiLove wants to protect young people so that they do not have to have negative sexual experiences. This is achieved through topics such as sexual rights, protection and consent or dealing with social media.

Our ambassadors and GummiLove Rookies (peer educators) have an important role model function. The youth-oriented tools of our prevention and education are the GummiLove Education Magazine, the free LIVE ED education hour via stream, the Anonymous Chat for questions and answers and our channels; TikTok, Instagram, YouTube. GummiLove is also active where young people love and live, at youth events and leisure activities.
